Meet Our 100,000th Alumnus!

Lorraine Williams RN '24 was recently honored as Empire's 100,000th graduate. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in November 2024.

Continuing her educational pursuits at Empire, Lorraine is now enrolled in the Master of Science in Nursing. Like many students at Empire, she balances academics with full-time employment, working as a psychiatric nurse at Rochester Psychiatric Hospital, caring for patients on a 30-bed forensics unit.

Honoring Our Heroes

The Veteran and Military Resource Center paid homage to SUNY Empire veterans and active-duty members.

National Hiking Day

SUNY Empire alumni, faculty, and staff went hiking in celebration of National Hiking Day, which is on November 17. Hikes were held in Saratoga Springs, Rochester, Fort Drum, Buffalo, Selden, and the Saratoga Battlefield.

SUNY Empire hosted our annual Fall Student Conference on November 1-2 at the Desmond Hotel in Albany, NY.

Students had the chance to attend a fireside chat with President Lisa Vollendorf and Provost Rai Kathuria. The event also featured presentations, an art show, career information, and networking.
