Entrepreneur Hamed Correa

Class of 2006

Hotels and people are the two elements that have accompanied Hamed since childhood. Every trip for him revolved around the experience of the place where he was staying with his family. His extensive opportunities to travel to Europe, Asia, and America, and to live in Israel and the United States, in addition to his native Colombia, allowed him to establish strong intercultural relationships that sparked a greater interest in the hotel industry.

Durante esos años en el Colegio, aprendí mucho más de un tema académico, sino destrezas que me han permitido llevar a cabo mis aspiraciones como empresario. President Obama mentions Juliana Tafur, Class of 2003

Juliana Tafur, Class of 2003, is an Obama Foundation Scholar. She is the producer and director of an award-winning documentary inviting Americans to connect on a human level, despite their differences, and has been running workshops incentivizing participants to do the same for the past two and a half years, through her workshop series Listen Courageously. President Obama’s mention elevates the important work she’s been carrying out, to have people connect across their ideologies and identities.

Luz Ortiz, Inspiring

Class of 1996

Luz Ortiz, Class of 1996, is a writer, illustrator, speaker, and content creator. Her passion is to inspire and educate children and families with stories filled with imagination, adventures, and values.

Luzía seeks to inspire and educate boys and girls, while Luz seeks to be a support for fathers and mothers, always counting on the support of experts such as psychologists and pedagogues.

Academic Achievement!

Congratulations to Natalia Rompf Dagua, Class of 2020, who was named to Western Carolina University´s Fall 2021 Deans List. Natalia is majoring in Special Education Inclusive Ed at WCU. Congratulations!
