ALUMNI Spotlight
Marshall Criser '76

Marshall Criser, former chancellor of Florida's university system, has been named president of Piedmont University.
After graduating from Cardinal Newman in 1976, Criser went on to graduate from the University of Florida with a business administration degree. He also completed the Advanced Management Programme at INSEAD in Fountaineblue, France.
Most recently, during his 8 years as chancellor of Florida's university system, Criser served on the Credential Review Committee and the Florida Talent Development Council. He also currently serves as a member of the Florida Council of 100 and is a member of the Enterprise Florida Board, the Florida Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, co-chair of the Florida Chamber of Commerce Past Chairs Council, and the Florida Chamber 2025 Strategic Planning Committee. Marshall is also a former president of AT&T Florida.

Patrick Meleney '06 and his wife, Kristi, welcomed their fifth boy, Michael Thomas Meleney on December 5th. Big brothers Daniel (8), Joseph (6), John (4), and Caleb (3) are so excited. Patrick is the Development Director for a non-profit in Denver that forms young adult missionaries and serves the homeless.

Congratulations to Shannon Boyles '10 and her new fiance, Jack Middlebrooks. The two were engaged on December 18th.
