April 2024

Dear Friends:

As the flowers begin to bloom here in Ann Arbor, Psychiatry is gearing up for an exciting spring ahead. From social events to educational offerings, we hope you'll find something here that piques your interest.

We also hope you'll join us at the 34th Annual Albert J. Silverman Research Conference on May 22 where we'll explore the topic of Psychiatry in the Age of Generative Artificial Intelligence. Those close to Ann Arbor are welcome to attend in-person, though the keynote lecture will be available virtually as well.

In addition, I'm thrilled to share that we plan to host a Michigan Psychiatry Meet n' Greet in conjunction with the American Psychiatric Association annual meeting. This year’s meeting will be May 4–8 in New York City and more details can be found below.

One of the easiest ways to show your Psychiatry pride and stay connected to your fellow alums is by joining our Mug Club. Those who join the mug club not only sip their morning coffee or tea in style—they also join a community of alums dedicated to helping the next generation of psychiatrists grow and flourish. Keep reading this newsletter to learn more about how you can get involved.

With so many events on the horizon, we hope you'll consider reconnecting with us through some, or all, of the opportunities mentioned. As always, you remain a vital part of our Michigan family and make our community a better place. Thank you for all you do!

Sincerely,

Gregory Dalack, M.D.
