New Flag Unveiled

This week, we proudly unveiled BA's brand-new school flag! Students from all levels participated in a fun and inspiring design contest, showcasing their artistic talents and school pride. We are thrilled to announce that the winning design was created by a student in Level 4, Siena Wyderka. The new flag now flies proudly at the top of the hill, representing the imagination and creativity of our student body.

One Short Day in the Emerald City

SATURDAY, JANUARY 24, 2026

Dust off your green-tinted glasses and join us in Seattle this January! The Pacific Northwest may be famous for its rain, but that won't dampen our spirits. We are embracing the weather and the city's "Emerald City" nickname for our annual satellite alumni gathering.

Grab your umbrellas and join Doug and Mary Ricci, Larry Pesch, Peter Grossman '89, and Susan York '91 Jeide for a chance to connect with fellow alums in one of the most dynamic cities in the country.

And, do not worry, this event is not just for our Seattle-based alums! Think of it as the perfect excuse for a weekend getaway. Come for the reunion, stay for the coffee, enjoy the skyline, and maybe even peek at Mount Rainier.

Specific time and location to follow in next month's newsletter.

Let us know if you will be coming!

'Tis the Season

Last month's alumni newsletter highlighted Mr. Homan's "Tiny People" Scholarship, honoring a beloved teacher whose impact continues to shape our BA community. In just a few short weeks, many of our alumni stepped forward to make a difference, a true reflection of the generosity that defines our Brookfield Academy Alumni.

As we celebrate this season of giving, we invite you to take part in our Annual Giving Campaign. Online Giving Day is on Tuesday, November 25, and our initiative is clear:

100 Alumni Giving $100 or more

on Tuesday, November 25

We are hoping you would consider a gift to the Mr. Homan's "Tiny People" Scholarship. You can also choose to direct your gift to a cause that matters most to you, whether it is the Mr. Homan "Tiny People" Scholarship or other scholarships that open doors for deserving students. You can also support the Center for Mission & Academics, or make a gift in honor of someone special. No matter how you choose to give, every donation directly benefits our students and helps advance the Mission of Brookfield Academy.

Join us this Giving Season on Tuesday, November 25, and be one of the "100 Giving 100" and help us continue to inspire future generations of alumni at Brookfield Academy! Watch for an email in the next couple of weeks for more information.

Alumni Saying "I Do"

MERRICK WELLS '13

Big congratulations to Merrick and Lauren, who tied the knot on Saturday, November 1st, at The Drake in Chicago, a classy venue for an even classier couple! Helping them dance the night away were fellow alumni Dom Ricci ’13 and Michael Shammo ’13, who reportedly showed off some legendary moves that may or may not have cleared the dance floor.

ERIK LARSON '10

Erik and Lizzy took the romantic route and eloped to Italy (because why not start your marriage with pasta and prosecco?). They later celebrated stateside with a beautiful reception in Oconomowoc.

Full Circle

Full circle moment: members of Coach Rogers' 2017 varsity soccer regional title team reunited on the pitch as Rogers' 2025 regional champions took the field for their sectional semifinal.
