Paul Driftmier '76 shares a heartfelt reflection on how attending an alumni reunion changed his life. After reconnecting with former classmate Cathy Oster '76 Driftmier, whom he had met during their Academy years, they rediscovered the unique bond formed by their shared Academy experience.
Their reunion led to a lasting relationship and renewed appreciation for the values instilled during their time at the Academy. Paul's story is a powerful reminder that alumni events are more than opportunities to reminisce. They can create meaningful connections, strengthen our alumni community, and even change the course of a life. He encourages fellow alumni to attend future reunions, support the Academy, and never underestimate the impact of coming home.

Sunshine, great food, smiling faces, and ABE made for a wonderful afternoon at our Summer Alumni Cookout! Alumni and their families enjoyed delicious eats from the food truck, fun in the bounce house, and the opportunity to reconnect with classmates and friends.
We were especially grateful to welcome alumni who traveled from as far as Madison to spend the day on campus. While the gathering was smaller than anticipated, it created a relaxed atmosphere filled with great conversations. Thank you to everyone who joined us; we are already looking forward to the next one!
