Participation Opportunities

One of our goals in the Alumni Office is to encourage participation from alumni. Donating is one way to be involved, but we'd also like to see our alumni coming together to participate in our events. We have many fun events planned in the coming months!

BA Football Alumni Game - Turkey Bowl

Wednesday, November 22

If you played on the BA football team, join fellow alumni from the football program as they take on the current football players. The game will be played on the main football field at Brookfield Academy on Wednesday, November 22, at 6pm. If you would like to play, please email me so I can let Coach Kahle know.

Alumni Christmas Party

Saturday, December 23

The annual Alumni Christmas Party is back. Last year, the event was a huge success and included trivia and prizes. This year's party will be held at Explorium Brewpub Third Ward, located at 143 W. St. Paul Ave., Milwaukee, WI 53203. Explorium is owned by former BA employee and alumni parents, Joan and Mike Doble.

This year, we are adding a Class contest to the event. Members of the graduating Class with the highest attendance will all be entered into a raffle for a $50 Amazon gift card. The winner will be drawn during the event.

This event will be held on Saturday, December 23, from 6 pm until close. The Alumni Christmas Party is free to attend and includes food and two drink tickets. Please RSVP here so we know how much food to provide.

Alumni Party in Dallas, Texas

It's time to saddle up cowboys and cowgirls. This year's out-of-state get-together will take place in Dallas, Texas. Join us Saturday, January 20, 2024, for an alumni gathering in the Lone Star State. More details will be sent out soon; but if you are interested in attending, please fill out the RSVP here. If you don't live in Dallas but have BA friends in Dallas, now is the time to schedule the trip to see each other!

Level 8 Alumni Showcase

Tuesday, February 6

Held for the first time last spring, this event is a chance for you to talk to current BA Level 8 students about your occupation and your experience in the Upper School at Brookfield Academy. This is an opportunity for you to inspire a student who might be interested in a similar career path.

The goal of this event is to generate excitement for Level 8 students to attend the Upper School. This is a chance for you to share your favorite high school memories and connect with current students.

We are hoping to cover many occupations once again this year. Last year, we had alums talk about their careers in engineering, medicine, finance, music, art, sports, law enforcement, social media, and more.

Join us on Tuesday, February 6, 2024, from 8 am until noon. Lunch will be provided after the event concludes.

Eighteen alums participated in 2023, and we're anticipating an even bigger turnout in 2024. Ideally, most of you will be able to join in person, but we will have a virtual option as well.

Join the new Alumni Cabinet

We are beginning to assemble an Alumni Cabinet. This cabinet will meet once every other month. We will discuss opportunities to make our alumni community stronger and how we can make an impact on Brookfield Academy. Examples include determining alumni events, continuing to improve communication, and any other ideas you have. If you are interested in joining the cabinet, please fill out this form.

Donate

Next week, you will receive an email about this year's Annual Fund and a special opportunity to give to one of our scholarships. Be on the lookout to see how we, as alums, can be the leaders in funding an incredible scholarship.

Coaching

The Middle School is looking for coaches for basketball this winter. There are a few openings to coach a girls or boys team. Coaching is a great way to give back to current students and also a great way to stay connected to the BA community. If you have interest in coaching, please email [email protected].

College Care Packages

College care packages were stuffed this morning. Members from the Class of 2023, be on the lookout for a care package in the next few weeks. Thank you to the parents of the Class of 2023 for donating goodies to send to our newest alums, and to the moms who helped pack the boxes!
