Alum Highlight

Bryan Ersoy '15

Bryan Ersoy currently works at Lammi Sports as the Director of Partnerships & College name, image, or likeness (NIL). Lammi Sports is a sports marketing agency in Milwaukee that works with athletes secure athlete endorsement deals, social media deals, booking autograph signings, speaking engagements, public appearances, and helping athletes with any charitable causes that are near and dear to their heart.

Bryan currently represents a roster of top athletes at his college alma mater: UW-Madison. Such athletes include Braelon Allen (football), Myles Burkett (football), Chimere Dike (football), and Chucky Hepburn (basketball). Bryan has secured hundreds of thousands of dollars in endorsement money for athletes, and has worked with several high profile brands, both local and national.

Since July 2021, college athletes are allowed to profit from their NIL without losing their eligibility to play collegiate sports. This change has altered the landscape of college athletics. While many people have an opinion on whether college athletes should be paid or not, Bryan comments, "enabling athletes to engage in deals earlier provides important financial support while they are in college, and helps them better navigate the business side of sports before they turn pro."

The sports industry is one that is difficult to break into, and Bryan credits BA for why he thinks he was able to make a breakthrough. "BA did a great job of teaching us how to conduct ourselves in a professional manner. You only get one chance at a first impression, and it's so valuable to come across as professional, personable, and easy to work with. Along with that, the talented and competitive student body at BA taught me a work ethic that couldn't be replicated at most schools. Being as young as I am in the sports industry, I needed something to stand out. Nothing stands out more than an incredible work ethic and drive to get the job done."

Bryan looks forward to continuing his role at Lammi, and especially loves the opportunities he gets to be a part of giving back to local communities. He's been able to help with football camps, charity softball games, and more.

Current Events

Daniel Perelman '21 Chess Tournament

Current Brookfield Academy junior, Krish Sharma, was a friend of Daniel Perelman '21, who tragically passed away just a few months ago. Through his non-profit Power of Pawns, Krish established a chess tournament in memory of Daniel.

Krish says, "Daniel was personally someone that I looked up to, so I want to do something to uphold his legacy in the community because I think everyone knows he had a big impact here [BA]."

The goal is for the tournament to be an annual event in the Milwaukee area, with all proceeds being donated to Daniel Gives Back.

You can see the Fox 6 feature on the tournament here.

College Care Packages

BA's annual tradition of sending care packages to its most recent graduating class is underway. If you are a graduate of the Class of 2022, please check with your parents to see if they sent in your college address. If not, please contact me to give your address. Pictured left are the many food donations by parents waiting to be ripped open and put into the care packages.
