Alumni at Knight at the Speakeasy | | |
We had a great time welcoming our Gatsby "oldies but goodies" alums back to Knight at the Speakeasy this past Saturday! It was wonderful seeing alumni from across the decades - from the 1970s through the 2000s - come together and reconnect. Thank you to everyone who attended and proudly represented the Brookfield Academy Alumni Association.
| | Caps & College: A BA Tradition Grows | | One of our newer traditions is officially a fan favorite! Last week, our BA "lifers" returned to the top of the hill (okay, technically inside, thanks to a little rain) to reveal where they're headed for college. In a sweet (and slightly chaotic) moment, the "lifers" handed out Class of 2036 hats to our first graders, officially welcoming the next generation to the BA journey. There were smiles, hugs, a few teary eyes, and just enough hats to go around! | | |
Big moves are happening! Sara is making significant strides in the entertainment industry with global icon Snoop Dogg. Sara and Snoop have partnered with NBCUniversal Entertainment & Studios in a substantial multi-year deal. As President of Snoop's Death Row Pictures, Sara is instrumental in expanding the brand into film, television, sports entertainment, and streaming, with even more exciting projects on the horizon.
One of the most highly anticipated projects is a cinematic retelling of Snoop's legendary rise to superstardom. This film, co-produced by Sara, Snoop, and Academy Award-winning producer Brian Grazer, will dive into themes of legacy, ambition, and history.
The momentum doesn't stop there! After showcasing his talent at the 2024 Olympics in Paris with spontaneous and humorous surprise appearances (produced by Snoop and Sara), Snoop Dogg is officially returning as a coach for Season 28 of The Voice. Other recent producer credits are NFL HONORS (Fox), THE UNDERDOGGS (MGM/Amazon), and 1992 (Lions Gate), to name a few.
From navigating high school deadlines to making Hollywood deals, Sara's journey continues to blaze trails. Save us a spot at the premiere, Sara!

Matt had an outstanding season with the Penn State Men’s Gymnastics team, contributing significantly to its best finish at the NCAA Championship Finals in almost a decade. Competing on the rings, he was a crucial part of Penn State's achievement. During the regular season, Matt earned his second All-American honor and was instrumental in the team winning its first-ever Big Ten Regular Season Championship, marking a historic milestone for the Program.
Looking forward, Matt will be interning at Cascadia Investment Bank this summer as he pursues a career in private equity.

Big congratulations to Mona, who just added "published author" to her resume. Her new book, Transforming Teaching Through the Cycle of Care, is out now - and it's more than just a title, it's a testament to the kind of impact great teachers can make.
But wait - it gets better. The foreword was written by none other than her brother, Steve Krieger '91, who used the opportunity to pen a touching tribute to the legendary Mrs. Judy Werlin, a BA history teacher who somehow made reviewing for news quizzes feel like page-turners.
We're calling it now: future Pulitzer? At the very least, she's got "Best Sibling Collaboration" locked down. Congratulations, Mona!
| | | | With BA's Class of 2025 graduation just around the corner, we’re taking a moment to look back 50 years to the Class of 1975. We would love to recognize you at this year’s graduation on Saturday, May 17, at 2 PM at Fields of Freedom - and even better, Class of '79 alum Robb Rauh will be joining us as a guest speaker! | | Become Involved: Alumni Opportunities | | |
Attention Milwaukee-area alumni in the legal field! BA's Mock Trial program is thriving with two enthusiastic teams ready to bring the heat to the courtroom (well, the mock one), and is looking for a couple of actively practicing attorneys to help guide them.
If you’re local to Milwaukee or the surrounding area and have a knack for mentorship, storytelling, and sharpening young legal minds, we’d love for you to join us. Teams meet twice a week, and coaches will join practices on those days to help coach, advise, and occasionally channel your inner courtroom drama.
No objections? Then, please contact Dr. Guru if interested.
| | BECOME AN INTERNATIONAL STUDENT HOST FAMILY | | |
Each year, Brookfield Academy welcomes more than a dozen international students into our vibrant community. These students, along with their host families, share meaningful academic and cultural experiences, building lasting friendships that span the globe.
Hosting is a wonderful way for alumni to stay engaged with BA's day-to-day life, make a difference in a student's journey, and experience the energy of campus life again - all while receiving a generous stipend.
If you’d like to learn more or are interested in hosting for the 2025-26 school year, please contact Dr. Larry Pesch.
| | ENROLL YOUR KIDS IN BA SUMMER DAYS | |
Keep your kids busy this summer with Summer Days. Our Program offers weekly-themed Discovery Camps for young children, athletic clinics, and academic & enrichment classes for students in grades K4-12. Bonus: Before- and after-care is available, so you can enjoy some well-earned peace and quiet from 7:45-9:00 am and 3:30-5:30 pm.
No classes will be held June 30-July 4 because even our camp counselors need to recharge.
Registration is open now. Browse class schedules and descriptions in the Summer Days catalog and sign up online before your kids sign you up for a summer of chaos at home.
