Alumni Legacy Tour: A Journey Across Cities and Generations

In 2024, Marianopolis celebrated the purchase of its Westmount Avenue campus with an event that drew an enthusiastic response from alumni. That feedback led us to plan a series of gatherings in Montreal as well as other cities with large Marianopolis communities.

Over the last year, our Alumni Legacy Tour brought together graduates in Toronto, Vancouver, Boston, New York, Ottawa and Houston, with a memorable homecoming on campus on May 29.

At each event, alumni shared memories of the friendships, professors and experiences that defined their time at the College. Just as meaningful were the many offers to support today’s students through mentorship, classroom visits and other forms of engagement.

Alumni Spotlight: How Jo-Annie Charbonneau '08 is Shaping Montreal's Basketball Renaissance

With Montrealers Luguentz Dort and Bennedict Mathurin facing off in this year’s NBA Final, and nearly 10,000 fans packing IGA Stadium for a game this summer, basketball has never had more momentum in the city.

At the forefront of this surge is Class of 2008 graduate Jo-Annie Charbonneau, President of the Montreal Alliance, the city’s pro team in the Canadian Elite Basketball League.

Coda Foundation: A Marianopolis Club's Mission Grows Beyond Campus

Clubs are a cornerstone of campus life at Marianopolis, giving students opportunities to pursue interests, build friendships and engage with their communities.

For Class of 2020 graduate Omar Toubar, a shared experience of loss and family illness led him and his friends to create Coda at Marianopolis, an initiative that united classmates around a common cause.

Now a medical student at McGill, Mr. Toubar has helped transform Coda Club into the Coda Foundation, with 19 chapters at colleges and universities across Ontario and Quebec.

Inaugural Ricarda Smith Lecture Welcomes MMFA Curators to Campus

Marianopolis students and faculty gathered this spring for the first edition of a new lecture series that brings leading voices in the arts to campus.
