We are very proud of our program's involvement in national and local organizations. Residents in the Quality Improvement & Patient Safety pathway are fresh off attending the recent IHI National Forum in San Deigo, where many presented posters of their original QI projects. Administrative Director Laurie Dubois's work was also recently published in the Alliance of Academic Internal Medicine Perspectives journal. Congratulations to all!
This spring, we are happy to invite you back to the Medical Campus for the 2nd Annual Health Equity Symposium: Racism and Representation in the Health Sciences. Dr. Jenny Siegel, co-director of the Health Equity Symposium, and her team have been working diligently on this event. The symposium will feature keynote speakers, activism workshops and a poster session highlighting work in Social Determinants of Health. See below for details.
As always, our spotlights give us a glimpse of the range of possibilities for #BMCIM residents - Dr. Myfanwy Callahan (class of 2015) as Chief of Internal Medicine and Dr. Samantha Rawlins-Pilgrim (PGY 3), chair of the BMCIMRES Diversity Committee and an active member of the HIV pathway.
