It's Amazing! Look at the Gym!
The gym, long a fixture in the Bright School experience, has a new look after more than 45 years. Today, the renovated gym was dedicated as the Pamela Dee Blevins Gymnasium in memory of the mother of Lauren Wolfford '99 and grandmother of current third grader Rett. The renovation was part of the Building a Bright Future Capital Campaign and made possible by the Schillhahn-Huskey Foundation. Taking part in the ribbon cutting were the Wolfford family, Mrs. Watts, Mrs. Kropff, Mr. Morgan and P.E. coaches past and present: Bobby Gendimenico, Ashley Linehart, Kristen Curtis, Bob Cutrer and Jan Connell.
Mrs. Watts Begins Tenure
Kristin Watts is the 13th head of Bright School and started working at Bright this summer. She quickly began meeting individually with all faculty and staff, and she's had monthly coffees with parents. Mrs. Watts spends many mornings in classrooms, and she started a new tradition of hand delivering a Bright pencil to each student on his or her birthday.

Pictured: Mrs. Watts, third from right, attended the Tennessee Association of Independent Schools (TAIS) conference in Nashville this week with several faculty and staff members. From left to right Rachel Blanton, director of student services; P.E. coach Bobby Gendimenico; kindergarten teacher Bill Greene; third grade teacher Claire Millsaps; Mrs. Watts; and Assistant Heads of School Kendra Reasor and Renee' Kropff.
Join Us December 2 for Community Tree Lighting
All alumni are invited to a new event this year for our Bright community. We will light an outdoor tree on December 2 at 5 p.m. in the courtyard. All alumni in the audience will receive a candy cane. Hand bells and the chorus will give a short concert. We will serve hot chocolate.

We invite you to bring an ornament that represents your family to hang on the tree for all to enjoy. The tree will be outdoors, so make sure your ornament is waterproof.

Let us know if you plan to attend.
