Dear Alumni, Family & Friends,
We were so happy to welcome LaReine High School alumna, Justine Nogay Good LR '81, along with her husband, Don Good, (pictured front center above) who visited campus recently to discuss her 22 years of active and reserved military service in the United States Air Force and their subsequent careers with FedEx as pilots. Justine is the younger sister of Rich Nogay '74, Brian Nogay '76 and Elaine Nogay Walker LR '69. She first began as a ROTC member at LaReine and credits the discipline she learned there as a backbone for her success. Justine went on to WVU, where she was active in Air Force Officer Training Corps serving as Cadet Corps Commander in her senior year. Graduating with a BS in Computer Science, she received an AFROTC scholarship and a pilot training slot. She was commissioned in the USAF, first assigned to fly KC-135A Air Refueling Tankers, and then became a T-1 Instructor Pilot.
Justine married USAF pilot, Don Good, at Holy Family Catholic Church in 1986. After her retirement from the military, she began flying with FedEx Express domestically and internationally and lives in Mesa, AZ.
The couple kindly shared their knowledge and enthusiasm for aviation with students from the Aviation Club and ACE (Architecture, Construction and Engineering) Program. Thanks, Justine and Don.
Enjoy the Minute.

Leon Reynolds '84 Makes Scholarship for BMHS Student Possible |
|
In the fall of 2012, Leon Reynolds '84 spoke to the Parents' Club about a huge college fair that is held each year by his chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. The fair not only helps students identify potential colleges and university but also gives away iPads and scholarship awards. This year, BMHS Junior Alexis Kelly '14 was the winner of a $1,000 scholarship from Leon's fraternity, which would not have been possible without his caring and outreach to the BMHS community. Thank you, Leon and congratulations, Alexis.

Dr. Scott Drew '79 Travels to Uganda to Work in Dermatology Clinic |
 | | Scott Drew '79 brought his BMHS hat to Uganda with him to let the kids know how important school is for them and was for him. |
Last week, Dr. Scott Drew '79 and his son, Danny, traveled from Columbus, Ohio, for a two week clinic visit to Uganda. The video that we featured last year about the clinic in Kenya went somewhat subviral, and as, a result, he has been asked to start a dermatology team in Uganda with Pros for Africa and DO-Care.
"The extra benefit on this trip is that they wanted a video of their facility, like the Kenya video, but had no budget," Scott explained. "Since Danny (his son) is a senior digital media major (at Butler University-go Bulldogs!), they invited him to shoot, edit and produce the video." While this may parlay into a job, they were more excited about a father-son trip. Scott wants to continue exploring opportunities for high school aged students to experience this type of mission. We are very proud of you both, Scott. We will be watching for the new video.
