Alumni Return for Homecoming 2020

Homecoming 2020 on Friday, January 10, was a fabulous event. Thank you to all the alumni who joined us this year, and for making the traditional Alumni vs Faculty basketball game as fun as ever! Our Colts athletes did an amazing job in their JV and Varsity games prevailing over the Lab School in all four games. Go Colts! See pictures of Homecoming 2020 .
Congressional School to Host Music Festival

Did you know that Congressional School is hosting a student-led music festival featuring local artists and area schools? A Music Festival Executive Board has been formed comprised of Congressional middle school students to organize a talent-filled afternoon as a fundraiser for the local organization  Food for Others . The event has been cleverly titled "Jams for Fams," a logo has been created, and the date is set!
Founders Day Speakers
Every year we celebrate "Founders Day" and invite alumni to share stories with our students. On Friday, January 10, we welcomed two alumni guest speakers — Liz McConville '99 and John Tato '99 who spoke at a student meeting about their time at Congressional School and answered lots of questions.
Design Labs Opening
The official opening of our Design Labs took place on December 3, with a ribbon cutting ceremony. Leadership donors from the 2018 Gala, along with Board members, faculty, staff, and community members participated. After the official speeches, the guests rolled up their sleeves and participated in design challenges organized by our faculty. #ReadySetCreate. See more photos
New Podcasting Series
We've launched a new podcast series featuring discussions by Congressional faculty and staff on a range of topics relating to education and raising children. We broadcast our first podcast last month on the topic of STEM and the Arts at Congressional School . Our next podcast " Parenting Tips " featuring a few of our experts—our academic directors and school counselor— was published this week. Bookmark our podcast homepage and check back often.
International Night Still a Favorite Community Event
International Night is one of our favorite ways to celebrate the countries, regions, cultures, and heritages that make up our  Congressional School family. At this year's event, there were 27 tables representing amazing places and food from all over the globe. See more photos
Give Day Success
We exceeded the 300 gift challenge needed to secure the Rameika Family $30K donation. Thank you to our 26 alumni and 50 alumni parents who made gifts by Give Day – December 5, 2019. Your continued support is meaningful and makes a positive impact for our young learners. The Congressional Fund currently sits at $271,000 in gifts and pledges. Please help us continue to provide the resources needed for our students and make a gift today !
