December 2015 - Issue No. 15
Christmas Message to Alumni
St. Bonaventure's College President Tom McGrath, Alumni Affairs & Development Office Jennifer Cummings and Members of the Alumni Committee wish all our alumni a very joyous Christmas.
The Christmas season is a time to reflect with much gratitude on the year passed and the many gifts given by our kind and caring parents, friends, alumni and benefactors. Much grace has been bestowed on us through 2015 and I pray now for all who our lives will touch in the coming year.
Christmas time at St. Bon's is always special as we prepare to celebrate the coming of our Lord and Saviour.  During this holiday season, I hope that you will take time to celebrate the accomplishments, traditions and commitments we share.  Thank you for your prayers and continued support.  May these holy days, and every day, be filled with peace and joy for you and your loved ones.

Familiar Faces at St. Bon's for Annual Christmas Social
There is no better way to celebrate the season than surrounding yourself with  friends, family and loved ones.  That is part of the reason the annual Alumni Christmas Social is such a special event.

It is great to see alumni from all various years come together in the Aula Maxima. Old friendships are rekindled, new ones are formed. Stories of  memories of school years past are shared between classmates and teachers.

More than 70 alumni, staff and former staff attended the event on Saturday Dec 19th.

St. Bonaventure's would like to thank Dr. Anne MacDonald for once again  spearheading this wonderful event. A big thank you also goes out to the volunteers that help her put this together.

Hope to see you all again next December.

Alumni Event Raises Funds For School Bursary Program
Gary Walsh '66 presents cheque on behalf on Fallen 51 Dinner committee.

In September, the 2nd Annual Fallen 51 Dinner was held at the Crow's Nest Officers' Club. The Fallen 51 Dinner honours the 51 Alumni that sacrificed their lives during World War I.

The Fallen 51 Dinner committee, made up of St. Bon's Alumni, decided to have the funds raised for this event donated to the St. Bonaventure's College Bursary Program. The committee wanted to ensure that any student that wishes to attend St. Bon's have the opportunity, regardless of financial need.

Mr. Gary Walsh '66, presented a cheque for $3,000 to St. Bon's President, Mr. Tom McGrath on behalf of the committee. We wish to thank the organizing committee and attendees for supporting our Bursary Program.
