Dear Alumni,

It has been a great start to the school year!

We kicked off our school year on August 20th with a Family Mass and an amazing Back to School Bash filled with food, dunk tanks, music, a reptile shows for the little guys, and face painting. These special events really highlight how great of a community we have here at Queen of Martyrs.

This summer we hit the ground running with upgrades to our technology due to a received EANS Grant and renovations to our primary grade classrooms because of the generosity and success of our Wildcat Wheel. In future newsletters, we will share our plans and successes as we build upon the great traditions here and grow our school community. We have great plans for the year ahead!

I am so proud to be a part of the great traditions and legacy of Queen of Martyrs School. I hope to see everyone at the Fest and Class Reunions! Go Wildcats!

Queen of Martyrs Alumni Financial Aid and Scholarship Fund

As a school family, Queen of Martyrs depends on the generosity of our alumni and benefactors to continue to deliver a great Catholic education that focuses on the whole child: spirit, mind, and body.

For the 2023-2024 school year, one of our primary fundraising objectives is to raise $50,000+ for financial aid and scholarships for deserving students and their families. These funds are essential to allow Queen of Martyrs to partner with families who need assistance in making the financial sacrifice necessary for their children to receive a Catholic education.

When you give to the Queen of Martyrs Alumni Financial Aid and Scholarship Fund, your support directly influences a student's life and strengthens our community for years to come.

Congratulations to Quinn Clifford '17

for his impressive finish as the top amateur at the 74th Illinois Open Championship at Flossmoor Golf Club. Quinn shot an impressive rounds or 69, 70, and 71 finishing as the top amateur in the field.

Join the Wildcat Wheel of Winnings!

The Wildcat Wheel was established in August of 2020 to support initiatives, programs and renovations outside of our yearly operating budget. Just recently, The Wildcat Wheel contributed $50,000 to the renovation of our primary wing and $5,000 to scholarships and financial aid. We are extremely grateful for their hard work and generosity.

Each week members of the Facebook Group bid on amazing prizes with a chance to watch the wheel spin live on Wednesday nights and win great prizes!

New Scholarships Announced

Queen of Martyrs School has announced two new scholarship opportunities for students; The Virginia and Philip Davidson Memorial Scholarship to assist incoming families at Queen of Martyrs School to make Catholic education possible for their children and the Carla Kirkland Memorial Scholarship for families who reside in the former St. Bernadette parish and wish to send their children to Queen of Martyrs School.
