Roopen Patel '95

Devotion comes with commitment and many cannot fulfill both. However, Roopen Patel, a 1995 Panther graduate, is a prime example of how dedication can carry you far in life.

Roopen participated in many activities during his time as a Panther. For instance, in his senior year, he ran track and was a part of the baseball team. To Roopen, he loved the tight-knit community EC provided him. The friends and coaches he had along the way allowed him to be involved in multiple teams and clubs.

Bleacher Blessing

Thank you to all community members who joined us Friday, August 23, for the Bleacher Blessing in Dan Reaser Stadium. Your generosity has made a lasting impact on our school community. View Bleacher Blessing Video.

Father Frank Kosem and Deacon Kyle Roser blessed the new bleachers and Panther fans in attendance.

Representatives from the Dan and Mila Reaser Family, the Hal Minnich Family, the Class of 2023, the Elyria Catholic Dads’ Boosters, and the Elyria Knights of Columbus gather on the track prior to the blessing ceremony to be recognized for their generous contributions to the Bleacher Replacement Project.

EC President, Annie Heidersbach, kicks off the Bleacher Blessing ceremony from the Hal Minnich ‘53 Pressbox, named in honor of longtime EC Dads’ Boosters President, Hal Minnich.

Golf Classic

On Saturday, September 14, 120 golfers joined us at Grey Hawk Golf Club for Elyria Catholic’s 35th Annual Golf Classic. Congratulations to the 2024 winners Dennis Baluh ‘77, Stephen Baluh ‘01, Kyle Baluh ‘04, and Douglas Baluh ‘09. This year the Golf Classic, sponsored by JD Indoor Comfort, raised over $17,000 for the Panther Fund. Thank you to all of our sponsors and participants.

Luke Costantino '20

On September 8, 2024, Luke Costantino left for The United States Marine Corps Officer Candidate School in Quantico, Virgina. Upon his graduation, he will be a second lieutenant in the United States Marine Corps.
