Susan Jenkins
A Crewe, Virginia native, Susan Jenkins graduated from Nottoway Senior High School. After starting a family and working in various jobs, she found herself wanting to advance her employment opportunities. Upon the advice of since retired Southside Community Virginia College professor, Tommy Baldwin, Susan enrolled in business courses at SVCC.
"SVCC provided a great opportunity for me as a young parent. Course times were flexible and the teachers were wonderful," Susan says.
After attending SVCC, Susan was able to embark on a banking career in 1988. She is currently
Vice President/ Branch Manager at Benchmark Community Bank in Blackstone. She also serves as Blackstone Chamber of Commerce Chair Woman and Pryor Memorial Presbyterian Church Treasurer.
Susan looks forward to continuing her career with Benchmark, growing in her and the bank's service to the community.
