Your Might & Main Will Pull You Through

On September 15, the Elyria Catholic community welcomed back the 1993 State Final-Four Volleyball team. They were the first EC volleyball team to make it to the State Final Four.

With an overall record that season of 21-4, featuring a 13-game winning streak, we proudly welcomed back Head Coach Suzanne Camp '70, Assistant Coach Pat Sleva '73, Kim Watson '95 and Julie Saven '95. To honor his late wife, Janice Lacerna Kovach '94, Ken Kovach '94, along with their daughter, Briahna; Janice's mother, Gail Lacerna, and sister, Nikki Rogers '95.

Cross Country

On Friday, September 23, Coach Chuck Lynch '73, and Richard Elsasser, and Cross Country team members from years past joined us for a recognition ceremony prior to the Varsity football game. This special group of alumni were applauded for their accomplishments and appearances at the State level.

Coach Lynch served as the head coach for 34 years, 10 years as assistant coach, and earned 5 state titles. He started his cross-country journey in 1976 as he assisted Coach Tom Mahl and then stepped up as head coach in 1986.

Hall-of-Fame coach Dick Elsasser led the Panthers to three state championships, three runner-up finishes, and two third place finishes. His cross country teams won state titles in 1973, 74 and 78. He had 10 teams place in the top 15 at the state meet over a 12 year period

Congratulations, Panthers

on all of your success!
