Katie Gauntner '14

From a young age, Katie Gauntner knew she was destined to be a Panther. During her high school search, she wanted to attend a school that had a rich tradition and a community that felt more like family. Growing up, she always heard about the impact the Elyria Catholic community had on her mom, Judy Glenn ‘84, and Aunt Cheryl (Glenn) Cramer ‘81. They both had lifelong friends and lessons they passed on to their children. These lessons and experiences helped set a foundation for the values that were instilled at home but also at Elyria Catholic.

Strategic Planning Update

During the past eight months, the Elyria Catholic community conversed with over 850 constituents about who we are and where God is leading us in the future. Sixty of those constituents reviewed extensive amounts of research in eight different areas and came together for a two-day retreat to draft our strategic goals and objective

Elyria Catholic is conducting "sharing sessions" where stakeholders have the opportunity to learn more about the strategic planning process and the first draft of our Strategic Plan Goals & Objectives.

In February, Jean & Kevin Raab, Emily Denney '13, Jacob Raab '23 carried the ball for another yard. Vicki Meecha has named the 20 yard line after Tom Meecha ‘66. Most recently, the family and friends of Brent Petrus, Class of 1993, have rushed the field to name both 16 yard lines in the Game On! Campaign in his memory.

Since the Game On! Campaign was launched in August of 2021, 25 yard lines have been sold raising $125,000 for stadium improvements. If you would like to become a yard line sponsor and help us continue to transform the Panther stadium, please visit www.elyriacatholic.com/gameon.
