James Aponte '09


James Aponte has served in the U.S. Army for over 12 years now. Before he enlisted, he was an Elyria Catholic student and a member of the class of 2009.



While at EC, it was not just one thing he looked forward to each day, but several. From seeing his friends, soccer practice, and his government and economic classes, James truly enjoyed being  a Panther in and out of the classroom.

Dylan Bishop '14


Dylan Bishop was an active member of the class of 2014 and currently serves as a Captain in the U.S Air Force. 


During his four years at Elyria Catholic, Dylan played football, was on the track and field team, and was involved in the Ambassadors program, Student Senate, National Honors Society, Ski Club, and S.A.D.D.

Something mad is happening in the James E. Terrell Performing Arts Center. Take a peek through the looking glass on November 16, 18, and 19th for Elyria Catholic’s production of Lewis Carroll’s Alice in Wonderland, adapted by Charlotte Chorpenning.

Miracle on Poplar and Gulf

The entire community is invited to the second annual Miracle on Poplar and Gulf on Friday, December 2. Please join us for live performances, a Christmas Bazaar, and more! We will be accepting toy donations for local charities as well. Children attending are invited to dress as an angel or shepherd and be a part of the Miracle!

Every year, our community awards three alumni who have continued to represent the pillars of Elyria Catholic; Excellence, Compassion, Faith, Tradition and Community. The Elyria Catholic family appreciates the overwhelming support we continue to receive from our alumni who continue to contribute to the school’s success. Young Alumni Award of Excellence

The Young Alumni Award of Excellence honors an Elyria Catholic High School graduate who has achieved distinction in their field of expertise and/or pursuit of higher education while continuing to demonstrate the qualities of an Elyria Catholic High School student - Excellence, Compassion, Faith, Tradition and Community. Nominees must have graduated from Elyria Catholic High School in the last eight years.


Distinguished Alumni Award

The Distinguished Alumni Award honors an Elyria Catholic High School graduate who has achieved distinction in their field of expertise and/or pursuit of higher education while continuing to demonstrate the qualities of an Elyria Catholic High School student - Excellence, Compassion, Faith, Tradition and Community. 


Exceptional Service Award

The Exceptional Service Award will be presented annually to an individual, couple, family, corporation, or foundation that has provided substantial support in time, talent or treasure to Elyria Catholic High School and supported Elyria Catholic High School’s efforts to move forward.

Scott Holland '02 Memorial Scholarships Announced

Scott Holland Scholarship

Randy and Jean Holland along with Elyria Catholic High School are proud to announce the 2022 Scott Holland '02 Memorial Scholarship Award Winners: Maria Dee, Elizabeth George, Grayson Kramer, and Andrew Krupka. Brianne McLaughlin Bittle ‘05 presented the scholarship following the All Saints Day Mass celebration in the James E. Terrell Performing Arts Center on November 1. They were recognized as students who are passionate and kind to others through their enthusiastic involvement in academics, athletics, and co-curricular activities. Scott Holland '02 pursued many of his passions, lived his life to the fullest and was known for his acts of kindness.

Alumni News

Football State Champs Recap

On Friday, October 14, Elyria Catholic welcomed back our three Football State Champion Teams. Coaches and teammates from the 1976, 1983, and 1984 teams gathered for a reception before they took the field prior to kickoff for a moment of recognition.



Reunions
