Celebrating Alumni Giving: Thank You!
Last week we closed out the year with some great news - 515 UW-Parkside alumni gave back to their alma mater. That is the most alumni to make a gift to UW-Parkside in a single year (7/1/20-6/30/21).

You shattered the previous record – thank you! Your support is making an impact on current and future Rangers and your University of Wisconsin-Parkside.

Jack Diamond '19 and Coach Nick Maas: Running Nonstop for Future Focus
July 9 & 10 | 4 pm
Wayne E. Dannehl National Cross Country Course

24 hours of continuous running - no easy feat, but it's just what alum Jack Diamond '19 and UW-Parkside head cross country coach Nick Maas plan to do this weekend!

Jack and Nick take on running challenges to stretch their limits and raise funds for causes that are vital to the community. This time, they are spotlighting UW-Parkside's Future Focus Fund, the university's need-based scholarship and emergency aid fund.

Cheer them on! Alumni and friends are welcome to stop by the cross country course at the 4:00 start/end times to encourage Jack and Nick in their feat of endurance, or even run part of the time with them. (24 hour participation not required!)

Follow along on UW-Parkside and Ranger Athletics social media for updates from the runners and information on how the Future Focus Fund helps UW-Parkside students go the distance as they work toward their degrees.

There's still time left to make that match!

A full renovation is underway in De Simone Gymnasium, the competition home of Parkside Athletics and the home of UW-Parkside's biggest event, our Commencement ceremonies. Help us complete this transformational project in style and leave your name in De Simone Gym with the Nexus Name a Seat Campaign.

Now through July 31, alumni and other supporters can donate $500 to name a new chairback seat in De Simone Gymnasium ($750 to name two seats). Nexus Pharmaceuticals will match every seat donation during the campaign, up to $25,000, in support of the De Simone Gymnasium Enhancement.
In June, the Center for Research in Innovation and Smart Cities at UW-Parkside presented Smart Cities Conversations. The event featured representatives from Deloitte Consulting, Johnson Controls, and the City offices of Kenosha and Racine.

If you weren’t able to attend the virtual event, you can view the conversations in recorded format.
