Celebrating Carmen Ireland
Many alumni fondly remember Carmen Ireland, who served in Admissions and the Office of Multicultural Student Affairs (OMSA) for many years.

In honor of Carmen’s recent 80th birthday, alumni and friends have established the Carmen Ireland Scholarship, to benefit Hiispanic/Latinx students at UW-Parkside. Join us in celebrating Carmen and her legacy of supporting student success!
Alumni Spotlight: Lupe Davalos '13
Lupe Davalos
Lupe co-owns and manages her family-owned business, La Taquiza Guadalajara, a pop-up restaurant based in Racine, and talks about how UW-Parkside prepared her for her future.

Catch Lupe and other local small businesses (including Esperanza Coffee Collective owned by alum Sergio Molina ‘14) on Thursday nights in Racine’s Uptown neighborhood!
Chancellor Ford: Notable Women in Education
Congratulations to Chancellor Debbie Ford for being recognized as one of the Notable Women in Education by BizTimes Media, spotlighting outstanding women in the metro Milwaukee area who are in leadership roles.

"Throughout the COVID-19 crisis, faculty, staff and students fed off her positive, no quit attitude, her personal connections to the campus and community and her uncanny ability to not let myriad changes to critical situations phase her."
