Remembering Morris Firebaugh
The UW-Parkside community was saddened to learn of the passing of Dr. Morris W. Firebaugh on New Year's Day.  

Dr. Firebaugh was a professor of physics and computer science at UW-Parkside for 32 years, retiring in 2001. He will be greatly missed by many at Parkside, where he will be remembered as a founding faculty member and a Parkside champion even after his retirement.

Alumni Making News: Paul Connell '94, Tasia White '08
Paul Connell '94

Paul Connell '94 has joined the Cozen O'Connor law firm as a member of the State Attorneys General Group. Paul served as deputy attorney general and senior counsel to Wisconsin Attorney General Brad D. Schimel from 2015 to 2019. He will work out of Cozen O'Connor's Chicago and Washington, D.C. offices.

Tasia White '08 recently opened TaejaVu's on Main, a soul food restaurant, in Racine. Tasia is a former educator in the Racine and Chicagoland areas, and is a lifelong foodie and chef.

Last Chance: Submit a Distinguished Alumni Award Nomination

The UW-Parkside Distinguished Alumni Awards celebrate and honor the rich legacy of learning and accomplishments by our graduates who exemplify the impact of a UW-Parkside education.  

Nominations must be received by February 5 for 2021-22 consideration. The selected Distinguished Alumni Award recipients will be recognized throughout the 2021-22 academic year, with an award event in spring 2022.
