The classroom was unveiled by Kumar during a ceremony on Friday, October 21.

“When alumni give back to the college in meaningful ways like Kumar and Meena have, it represents a validation that the education they received here was a partner in their future success and they want to pass that success on to future students,” said Robert Bishop, Dean of USF’s College of Engineering.

Kumar, an MSIE '87 alumnus of the IMSE Department, is an entrepreneur and has created companies in both India and the United States. Before launching his entrepreneurial endeavors, Kumar held key positions with Applied Materials and Hitachi Data Systems.
