50 years later - story of Kamama "Old Boys"
Prof. Mwaniki Kabeca gives a talk to the student during the recent visit to Kamama school alongside the other "old boys", while students keenly listen and take notes
A few years ago, the men I’m seated with, 15 in number were just boys in blue shirts, grey trousers, and black shiny shoes, often running to class trying to chase their dreams For the old boys, King David, Kamama Boys school is a place full of memories.

"As far as the offices are concerned, we didn't know such terms, you would require a dictionary to find the meaning," remembers Prof. Mwaniki Kabeca (Inset, left- Class of 1955) as he shares his memory on his school days .

Alumni doing math again
When we were in school we all wished different things for our school. A certain bus, a certain colour or design of uniform, a certain menu, certain bedding and more. Even now in life, we strive every day to have something we admire or wish to have in the belief it makes our lives awesome. On 2nd March that was the feeling of accomplishment for Olympic High School Alumni Association (OHSAA), after organising the first of its kind successful Maths symposium in their school.

My Alumni Experience Story
“As I walked through the small gate into my former Primary School, I was both excited and anxious. I was excited because it felt like coming back home, twenty years since I left the school in Class 6. St Patrick’s primary in Thika looked the same.

The headmaster could not hide his excitement on learning that I was an old boy. During a talk with the class 8 students, I shared my story. When I told them that in most of my school days I did not have shoes, t he room filled with laughter, excitement and hope .

I am definitely going back and I will try to look for more old boys and girls to accompany me.”
