Holy Family University Celebrates Charter Day 2022
On Friday, February 11th, Holy Family celebrated its 68th "birthday" - the day the school's Charter was signed in 1954.

Students, faculty, and staff members gathered together to celebrate this special day and University President, Dr. Anne Prisco's first time cutting the birthday cake from Stock's Bakery.

In addition, Holy Family hosted the 4th Annual Day of Giving. Thanks to the generous support of alumni, faculty, staff, students, and friends, we surpassed the goal and raised $31,837.68. The resulting full-tuition “Day of Giving” scholarship will be awarded to a deserving senior in the Fall for the 2022-2023 academic year.

Holy Family University is especially grateful to the Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth USA, Inc. for providing a $5,000 match that inspired members of the University community to get us over the finish line!

Thank you to everyone who celebrated Great Day to be a Tiger and supported our future alumni!

Holy Family Prays for Ukraine
Excerpt from Dr. Prisco's Message on the Attack on Ukraine, which was sent to the entire Holy Family community on Thursday, 2/24:

"Our hearts are heavy at the news that Russia’s leader chose to attack Ukraine. Not since 1939 when World War II began in Europe have we seen such an aggressive and evil act of war.

While this terrible event may seem far removed for many, this crisis is our crisis, and the fear and sorrow that comes with an aggression of this magnitude is felt deeply within our community along with the global community."

On Monday, February 28, members of the campus community gathered for a special Mass held for the people of Ukraine. Students, faculty, staff, and alumni prayed for the people of Ukraine, for Ukranian President Volodymyr Zelensky and his government, for Ukranian families in the US and abroad, and for the Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth currently serving in Belarus and Ukraine. KYW Newsradio spoke with Sr. Angela Marie Mazzeo, CSFN, superior general of the order, who is in communication with them in Poland.

The University community will continue to pray for peace.
