The Alumni Office is pleased to announce that Reunion 2023 will be held on-campus on Saturday, May 13, 2023. Click here to add this event to your Google Calendar.

All alumni are welcome to attend the Reunion Celebration! We will celebrate the 2023 Reunion Classes (all classes ending in a “3” or an “8”), the Golden Alumni Society (Classes of 1958-1973), and the 2023 Alumni Achievement Award winners.

Special recognition will be given to: the Class of 1973 (50 years), the Class of 1998 (25 years), the Class of 2013 (10 years), and the Class of 2018 (5 years)!

Tigers on the Loose 2023
Join us on Thursday, May 4, 2023 at The Academy of Natural Sciences for a scholarship celebration to raise vital funds for student financial aid.

The evening will include a cocktail hour in the Academy’s North American Hall, with the opportunity to learn about Holy Family students’ research projects and to explore the special exhibit, Conversations With Birds. After a short program, guests will enjoy a seated dinner in the Academy’s Dinosaur Hall, surrounded by over 30 species of extinct dinosaurs including Tyrannosaurus rex.

Donor Club Spotlight: Feher Loyalty Society
One of Holy Family largest donor clubs, the Feher Loyalty Society is named in honor of Sister Patrice Feher, CSFN, ’66, who faithfully served Holy Family University for nearly 50 years. The Society recognizes donors who have made annual gifts of any amount for three or more consecutive fiscal years. Loyalty Society members are recognized on a plaque in Marian Hall and receive special invitations to exclusive donor events.

University Advancement News
University Advancement is undergoing a reorganization under the leadership of Wendy Parsons, CFRE, who recently joined Holy Family University as its new vice president.

This new organizational structure aligns with the strategic plan and will build upon prior successes, creating an advancement program focused on nurturing lifelong relationships with Holy Family alumni and friends and developing rewarding partnerships that result in increased philanthropic giving for the University.
Part of this reorganization includes the appointment of Julie Rempfer ’10 to a newly created position as Director of Donor Relations and Prospect Management. She will begin her new role once a new Director of Alumni Relations has been hired.

Additionally, to support the significant and continued growth in the grants program, Ryan Keller ’17 has been promoted to Associate Director of Corporate, Foundation and Government Relations.

  • The Association of Catholic Colleges and Universities elected Holy Family President, Dr. Anne Prisco, to serve on its Board of Directors. Congratulations! Read the Press Release here.

  • For the sixth consecutive year, Holy Family University has been awarded the It’s On Us grant from the Pennsylvania Governor’s Office. The University will be awarded $40,000 that will provide funding to implement strategies on campuses to address the goals of the Governor’s It’s On Us PA campaign and to continue to support campus safety.
  • Tri-Lite, Holy Family's student newspaper since 1954, is pleased to release its latest issue featuring student writing, news, and reviews. Read the issue online at: hfutrilite.com.
  • On Saturday, February 18, Holy Family's Habitat for Humanity students hosted more than 300 guests at their Annual Bingo - including quite a few alumni (pictured). The event raised significant funds to support our students on their upcoming Alternative Spring Break trip to build homes for needy families in North Carolina.   • Now through March 27, Holy Family's Art Gallery presents Liminal State (works on paper) by Nicole Dul (daughter of former Holy Family professor emerita, Dr. Patricia Michael). All are invited to the reception and artist meet and greet on Thursday, March 23 at 12 p.m.

  • On Wednesday, February 22, Holy Family celebrated the ribbon cutting for the new Esports Center in the Campus Center! Special guests included the Board of Trustees and Pirin Sriweawnetr, assistant collegiate esports coach at Mongomery County Community College.

  • Congratulations to Holy Family's Indoor Track & Field Teams! Both teams were victorious at the East Coast Conference (ECC) indoor track & field Championship held on Sunday, February 19 at Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex in Staten Island, NY.
  • Corin Stewart '26 becomes Women's Bowling's first-ever CACC Honor Roll selection! The HFU Women's Bowling team competed in their first three tournaments in February 2023.

  • Women’s Lacrosse shut-out the University of the District of Columbia (UDC) with a score of 22-0 in the Season-Opener on February 20 on Tiger Field. Go Tigers!

An Evening of Non-Violence
On Tuesday, February 28, Holy Family's School of Arts & Sciences faculty Pamela Flynn, MFA, professor of art and Fine Arts coordinator, and Patricia Griffin, Ph.D., associate professor of Criminal Justice, will jointly present "An Evening on Non-Violence" at Cranaleith Spiritual Center.

The event will feature a wine and cheese reception, beginning at 5:30 PM, followed by the presentations and Q&A beginning at 6:00 PM.

Pam Flynn will present Considering Harm, her mixed-media, traveling art exhibit that brings awareness to the issue of gun violence in our communities.

Dr. Griffin will lead a discussion on a public health approach to community safety and community well-being titled "Working Together to Stop the Violence."

Community Blood Drive
Holy Family and the American Red Cross will be hosting a Community Blood Drive on Friday, March 24 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Campus Center Lower Lobby. Click here to make an appointment.

Distinguished Writers Series
On Tuesday, March 28, Holy Family will host a Distinguished Writers Series featuring Sara Nović, author of the of The New York Times Bestseller TRUE BIZ. The event will be held in Campus Center, beginning at 6:30 p.m. For more information, click here.

Glen Foerd - Holy Family University Speaker Series Event
The Glen Foerd-Holy Family University Speaker Series is pleased to announce its Spring 2023 event featuring Andrew Diemer, associate professor of history at Towson University and author of Vigilance: The Life of William Still, Father of the Underground Railroad (Knopf, 2022).

The lecture will be held on Thursday, April 13, at 7:00 p.m. in Holy Family's Education and Technology Center Auditorium. The free event is open to the public and will also be live-streamed. Register for the Zoom link here.

Holy Family to Host Mayoral Candidates
On Tuesday, April 18, Holy Family will host a 2023 Philadelphia Mayoral Candidates Debate, sponsored by the Northeast Times and the Greater Northeast Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce Government Affairs Committee.

All are invited to join us as were hear from the 2023 Mayoral Candidates and learn of their vision for the City of Philadelphia. The structured debate will be moderated by Tom Waring, Editor of Northeast Times, and Daniel McElhatton, Esq., of the Law Offices of Daniel P. McElhatton, PC and member of the Greater Northeast Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce.

Apply for Federal Student Loan Debt Relief
The Federal Student Loan Debt Relief program seeks to provide eligible borrowers with a one-time full or partial discharge of their loans. Federal Pell Grant recipients may receive up to $20,000 in debt relief and others may receive up to $10,000 in debt relief.
