It's graduation time - and we are so proud of our senior class! Our Commencement Liturgy is Sunday, May 19, and we'll post a live stream of the ceremony and photos on our social media sites. Be sure to check them out!

This is an impressive class of 164 students with two National Merit Semifinalists, one student with a perfect ACT score, one student with a perfect ACT superscore, and 48 Illinois State Scholars (29% of the class).

At least two students have accepted a full tuition scholarship, and the class as a whole earned more than $23 million in scholarships. Amazing!

Unsung State Champs: 1973 Chess Team

In last month's eNews, in our story about the 1973 chess team, we mistakenly misidentified one of the players. The team was made up of (pictured, left to right) Mike Rogers '74, Frank Aiello '73, Henry Antolak '73, Mike Murphy '73, and John Corrao ‘74. We apologize for the error.

Mr. Corrao, who was also valedictorian of his class, sent us the following pictures from the 1974 yearbook. What a treat!

Judi Carroll '75 Theriault and Mike Theriault '75 celebrated their grandson, Alexis Miio Theriault, marrying his college sweetheart, Cameron Deppen, on October 7, 2023. They enjoyed the wedding with several members of the Spartan community.

Judi and Mike met at SFHS and were married on June 14, 1975, at St. Michael's Parish in Wheaton. They will celebrate their 49th wedding anniversary this year!

"We are thankful for all we learned at St. Francis and the lifelong friendships we have experienced," Judi said. Thank you for sharing with us!

Get ready to rock! Join us for an unforgettable performance by the SFHS Rock Band at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, May 10, in the Kuhn Cultural Arts Center.

Join members of the SFHS Community on the 9-day trip of a lifetime to Greece! Trip dates are May 31-June 8, 2025, and all alumni are invited to join. This could be a great opportunity for you to reconnect with a group of high school friends - and is perfect for alumni who have multiple generations of Spartans! Travelers must be 18+ unless accompanied by an adult.

The Class of 1984's 40th Reunion is the weekend of September 21, 2024. Golfers, plan to attend the Spartan Classic Golf Outing on Friday, September 20, followed by a pre-reunion gathering. The "official" reunion is Saturday, September 21, in the Atrium at SFHS. More information to follow.
