Alumni eNews - October 2025

Dear SFHS Alumni,

As the leaves change colors and it feels like our school year has really settled in, we are ready to move toward November. This is a sacred time in our Catholic faith when we pause to remember all those who have gone before us, especially on All Souls’ Day.

During this time in our Catholic faith, we invite you to join us for our Annual Mass of Remembrance. This Mass is a beautiful and important tradition where we gather to pray for and celebrate the lives of our beloved faculty, dedicated staff, cherished teachers, and faithful friends of the school who have passed away.

Please join us as we offer prayer and thanksgiving for their lives:

  • What: Mass of Remembrance
  • When: 10:00 a.m. Sunday, November 9
  • Where: St. Francis High School Slant Dome

Please fill out this form to RSVP or to share the name of someone you would like remembered.

As always, thank you for your continued commitment and support, which makes moments of community and faith like this possible. Whether through prayer, financial giving, or volunteering, your dedication strengthens our school and our faith community every single day.

Alumni Updates

Amanda Antolik '14 shared with us that she recently accepted the position of Director of Social Services at Mt. Carmel Bluffs in Dubuque, Iowa. This comes after years of serving her community as a correctional officer in a male maximum security prison, a child welfare social worker, and much more.

"I love the daily challenges and the successes that my career path allows me to see. Nothing is more fulfilling to me than being able to be a part of another individual’s success or progress which is what I’m looking forward to being a part of in my new position," she said.

She also said her time at SFHS helped her realize her goals. "I truly loved being a part of something bigger than myself during volunteer opportunities at St. Francis," she said. "Whether that was tutoring families that lived in the neighboring complex to the school or participating in the school's toy/food drives, etc. I learned that I love being engaged with my community and still continue to be engaged to this day." Read more about Amanda's journey here - thank you so much for sharing with us!
