School's out for the summer but there are still lots of exciting things happening at SFHS!
Post-Season Athletics Celebrations: For the first time in school history, the Spartan Boys Volleyball team advanced to the first round of the 2A IHSA State Finals and were Sectional Champions! In Boys Tennis, Umar B. won 6th Place in Singles and was named 1st Team All-State. Gavin M. is also an All-State Spartan! He placed 8th at the IHSA 2A Shot Put competition in Boys Track and Field. Additionally, Spartan Softball was named 3A Regional Champions and Girls Soccer was named 2A Regional Champions. In May, we celebrated Girls Track & Field 4x800 State Champions and New State Record Holders Allie S., Elena M., Margaret A., and Erin H. Erin H. also placed 2nd in the 800 meter and Abbie S. placed 6th in Discus. Congrats, Spartans!

Last week, SFHS Alums Luke Donofrio '24, Ava Marquez '24, Grace Hayword '24, Alex Esser '24, and current student Will E. '26 attended Mass at St. Mary's in Minooka with Fr. John Honiotes.
Fr. John was School Priest and Chaplain at SFHS when the Class of 2024 began as freshmen.

Judi Carroll '75 Theriault and Mike Theriault '75 celebrated their granddaughter, Alexis Miio Theriault, marrying her college sweetheart, Cameron Deppen, on October 7, 2023. They enjoyed the wedding with several members of the Spartan community. Judi and Mike met at SFHS and were married on June 14, 1975, at St. Michael's Parish in Wheaton. They will celebrate their 49th wedding anniversary this year! "We are thankful for all we learned at St. Francis and the lifelong friendships we have experienced," Judi said.

Remembering Sr. Sheila Megley | |

Sister Sheila Megley, who served as president of St. Francis High School from 2004-2008 and was an integral part of shaping the vision of the school during that time, has passed away.
As president, she was instrumental in both physical and spiritual transformations at the school. Read more in our story here.

Upcoming Reunions: Class of '89 and '84 | |

The Class of 1989's 35th reunion is Saturday, September 28, at The Office in downtown St. Charles. The celebration is in the second floor party room with a private, open bar. Appetizers and desserts also provided. Tentative timing is 6:30 p.m. until close. Invite coming soon! You can join the 1989 reunion page on Facebook here.
The Class of 1984's 40th Reunion is the weekend of September 21. Golfers, plan to attend the Spartan Classic Golf Outing on Friday, September 20, followed by a pre-reunion gathering. The "official" reunion is Saturday, September 21, in the Atrium at SFHS. More information to follow.
