Former U.S. secretary of state George P. Shultz '38 paid a return visit to the Island for a question-and-answer session with Head of School Sheila Culbert in front of an all-school audience on October 27.
Jane MacKay Howe '49 & Glover Howe '48 Honored at Howe Hall Dedication
Jane MacKay Howe '49, her children, grandchildren, and family gathered with Loomis Chaffee community members in Grubbs Quadrangle for the dedication of Howe Hall on October 20.
Alumni Families Welcomed on Founders Day 2017  
Loomis Chaffee welcomed alumni and their families back to the Island for this year's Founders Day on October 28. On the sunny and breezy afternoon, alumni attended home athletics games and engaged in other fun activities on campus. 
Students Present Five Epic Performances of Shakespeare's 'Pericles'
Audiences delighted in the student production of Pericles: Prince of Tyre, William Shakespeare's tale of love and virtue overcoming treachery and deceit, in the Norris Ely Orchard Theater during the play's five-performance run October 25-28.

The boys cross country team won their fourth consecutive, and twelfth overall, Founders League Championship on November 4.

Phil Sanderson '86 placed fourth recently in what is known as the Grand Slam of Ultrarunning, a series of four 100-mile trail races that take place in a span of 11 weeks.

Thanks to a four-goal effort in a win against Morrisville State on October 4, Hamilton College field hockey player Michaela Giuttari '16 currently leads the New England Small College Athletic Conference in both goals and points.
