2017 Tour to 
Argentina and Uruguay
As alumni, many of you have toured with MYSO around the world to places such as Canada, Scotland, Spain, Italy, China, Vienna, Prague, Budapest, Carnegie Hall and more! 

Once again this summer, members of the Senior Symphony and Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra will tour and perform in  Buenos Aires and Rosario, Argentina and Montevideo, Uruguay from July 9-19 .

The orchestra will perform a preview of their international program just prior to their departure at two free outdoor Bon Voyage concerts. Read below how you can be a part of this journey:
Allegro Association
Thank you to the generous alumni who joined MYSO's new Allegro Association! The Association was launched this season as a way to help support future generations of young musicians. This season, we had 64 members and raised nearly $12,000 to help make MYSO's life-changing programs possible. We look forward to the continued participation and impact of this group.

We welcome 95 new MYSO alumni who graduated this spring! They will be attending over 30 different universities and 
colleges in the fall.

Alumnus Spotlight
MYSO alumnus Douglas Lechner played clarinet in the Senior Symphony and Chamber Orchestra during his senior year in high school in 2007-08. Doug has many fond memories from rehearsals and carpooling to MYSO with a group of friends from Racine.
Doug's time in MYSO and music helped him learn collaboration, cooperation and communication.
He believes that "these skills, which are so important for music, are also just as essential as a teacher, especially when working with the large international community."
