MYSO is excited to highlight the new Allegro Association , a special affiliate group of MYSO and Music For Youth alumni. Through the Association, we engage alumni who are helping to share the impact of MYSO with the next generation of young musicians.

Alumni who make a gift of any size are honored as members and receive special benefits and exclusive opportunities. We are thrilled that we now have 50 members. We ask you to please join us in this new effort to help move MYSO forward.

2017 Alumni Gathering
On Monday, January 9, we hosted our third annual alumni gathering that included an open house reception and side-by-side rehearsal with Music Director Margery Deutsch and the Senior Symphony. Thank you to all who attended. Please continue to stay in touch; we hope to see you at a concert this season!

Alumnus Spotlight
Currently the contrabassoonist for the Montreal Symphony Orchestra (OSM) since 2011, MFY/MYSO alumnus  Michael Sundell has traveled the world as a professional musician. 
He still vividly remembers his first concert with MFY...Since that time, he has won subsequent auditions.  Michael has had many life-changing experiences through his career.
David Rieder Retires
MYSO's longtime music librarian and equipment manager,  David Rieder , retired this winter after 27 years with the organization. 
We are very grateful for his hard work, musical knowledge, dedication and contributions to MYSO.
