Greetings!
When I was a Master’s student all those years ago in Gerontology, they taught us that confirming Alzheimer’s could only be done post-mortem…by an examination of the brain! Times have certainly changed as doctors are working with a simple blood test to detect Alzheimer’s! If you haven’t heard about this, we have the latest research on the topic. In terms of prevention we are taking a look at the correlation between gum health and Alzheimer’s Disease. Mom was right…brush and floss regularly. I’ll bet she wasn’t thinking of Alzheimer’s but mom’s advice is usually good for a life time! Perhaps we should have promoted these articles at Halloween since they are possibly a little on the side of macabre. Sorry, not sorry! I hope you will find the content interesting, informative and helpful as we explore the final subject matter this week…a patient’s right to die with dignity.
As Summer is drawing to a close, I hope you’ve had some fun, are looking forward to the holidays, and are staying as safe as possible. Take care folks.
