New Alzheimer's Drug Approval Slammed by Scientists

Greetings!
I’d like to share an important update on the Alzheimer’s drug, Aducanumab, marketed as Aduhelm in the US. As stated in a recent paper published by the Journal of Alzheimer’s Disease, due to significant concerns for the dementia field and drug approval process, considering its lack of adequate evidence for clinical efficacy, safety issues, and cost, the FDA Peripheral and Central Nervous System Drugs Advisory Committee voted nearly unanimously not to recommend the approval of Aduhelm for the treatment of early AD.

It’s not even clear that amyloid is a cause of Alzheimer’s. It may just be a coincidental finding. In the meantime, you can rest assured you’re doing everything you can to maximize your brain function by following ARPF’s 4 Pillars of Alzheimer’s Prevention®. Read more.

Donor Spotlight
Silver Fox Classic Golf Outing
The Annual Silver Fox Classic Golf Outing returned this past June. One hundred and sixteen golfers came to play in honor of Ron S., who passed from Alzheimer’s in 2017.

"It is a day that his memory and legacy are lifted up for his friends and family to remember. And I think I speak for all who participated… it feels good to assist in ARPF’s continued efforts to prevent and combat these challenging disorders,” Ron's son, Todd explained.

There are no requirements or prerequisites to becoming a Brain Longevity Specialist– this course is for anyone interested in improving brain health and living a long, healthy life. For more information visit arpf.com.
If you’d like to shake things up this year, create a birthday fundraiser for ARPF that everyone can celebrate. Facebook fundraisers are a popular way to give back to a cause you’re passionate about on your special day.
Do you buy or sell on eBay? You can easily round up your purchase or donate a portion of your sale to ARPF! Just follow the prompts and look for “Alzheimer’s Research and Prevention Foundation.”
