Update from the Executive Director

Dear ,

Happy New Year! Let me first thank you for all your friendship, support, and involvement in 2025. I am confident that this upcoming year will be even better, through our vigilent advocacy work, informative committees, and insightful events. The AmCham team works hard to support our Members, and I encourage you to be active in the Chamber in 2026. Sign up for a committee meeting to learn more about updates in different sectors, sponsor an event for additional marketing to the US business community, or even pull yourself away from your desk to attend one of our events – I promise they’re fun and the people are great!

In that spirit, I encourage you to please join us at a farewell cocktail reception honoring Ambassador Marc Knapper on Thursday, January 8, 2026, at the Caravelle Hotel Saigon. This will be his last event in Ho Chi Minh City before he departs Vietnam. During his four years as U.S. Ambassador to Vietnam, Ambassador Knapper has been a strong advocate for the American business community and a key driver of U.S.–Vietnam trade, investment, and the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. Join us in thanking Ambassador Knapper for his lasting contributions and giving him a warm sendoff as we begin 2026. Register here.

If you’re interested in healthcare, you’ve probably noticed that the sector is rapidly changing due rising demand, demographic shifts, and strong investor interest. Next Thursday (January 15), we are hosting an event that brings together leading investors, healthcare operators, legal and tax experts, and technology innovators to provide a comprehensive overview of the current landscape and future direction of healthcare investments in Vietnam. Register here.

Members are invited to review the Charter and vote online by 11:59 PM on January 13, 2026. Results will be announced at an online Extraordinary General Meeting on January 15, 2026.

On December 10, 2025, the Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City Boards unanimously approved a proposed unified AmCham Vietnam Charter. If adopted, it will merge both chapters into a single national chamber with one National Board, with a transition planned through mid-2026. Your vote helps shape AmCham Vietnam's future!
