On December 17, 2024 the AmCham Food & Beverage Committee held their year-end party in Hanoi. The event brought together over 60 members who have spent the last year advocating for the sector. The Committee actively collaborates with government officials to provide valuable insights and recommendations, fostering a more conducive business environment for all. In particular, we would like to thank Ms. Ha Vu and Mr. Vinh Le, our excellent Co-Chairs, for their leadership and guidance and for ensuring the party was lively and fun for everyone!

On December 16, 2024, AmCham Board Member Hao Tran and I led a dynamic discussion with 40 MBA students from the University of California – Los Angeles Anderson School of Management (UCLA). We provided a macroeconomic overview of Vietnam, highlighted the role of US businesses in the country, and underscored how entrepreneurs have propelled the Vietnamese economy forward.

AmCham Vietnam's main account at Vietcombank: From December 15th 2024, the American Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (AmCham Vietnam), headquartered in Ho Chi Minh City will officially use our Vietcombank account as our main bank account. Please update the account information of AmCham Vietnam and notify the relevant departments.

Vietnam has emerged as a global hotspot for industrial real estate investment thanks to a combination of strategic economic reforms, strong foreign direct investment (FDI) growth, and significant global shifts in supply chain management.

[Vietnam News] Leather, footwear, textile and garment export. Textile, garment, leather, and footwear industries have developed strongly and are increasingly important in the country’s economic growth.

[VnEconomy] HCM City plans to develop 10 more industrial parks. The Ho Chi Minh City Export Processing and Industrial Zones Authority (HEPZA) has proposed developing 10 more industrial parks covering a total area of over 2,465 ha in the 2021-2030 period.

What other benefits can this model bring? A strategic approach Danang City recently proposed a sea reclamation project to create additional space for a 2,317-hectare free trade zone. 

[Sagion Giai Phong] Tax authorities take measures to assist businesses in fulfilling tax obligations. Tax authorities have implemented a series of measures since the end of 2024 to assist e-commerce businesses in fulfilling their tax obligations through accurate tax declarations and payments.
