Vietnam's economy expanded 7.09% last year to $476.3 billion, faster than the 5.05% expansion in 2023, driven by strong exports and robust foreign investment inflows. Gross domestic product grew 7.55% in the fourth quarter, the fastest quarterly growth in more than two years. Exports to the US were estimated at US$119.3 billion, up 23% from 2023. These included computers, electronic products and components; machinery, equipment, tools and spare parts; garments and textiles; phones of all kinds and components; footwear of all kinds; and wood and wood products among others.

Elections for most committees will take place in January or February. Advocacy Update

  • Draft Decree detailing several provisions and measures for implementing the Law on Pharmacy. The Position paper was submitted to the Ministry of Health, Drug Administration of Vietnam on Dec 30, 2024
