Message from the Chair

Dear AmCham,

I am deeply honored to take on the role of Chairwoman of the Board of Governors for AmCham Vietnam in 2025. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to my fellow Governors and AmCham members for their trust and unwavering support. The year ahead is full of exciting opportunities and, naturally, some challenges for both the U.S. and Vietnamese economies. AmCham remains steadfast in its commitment to fostering stronger partnerships with the U.S. business community in Vietnam, the U.S. Mission, and the Vietnamese government, all in the pursuit of advancing the rich, multifaceted relationship between our two nations. This partnership spans trade, investment, education, and culture, and we are excited to play an active role in driving sustainable growth for the benefit of AmCham’s members.

I would also like to offer my congratulations to the distinguished colleagues who have been elected to the Executive Committee of the Board of Governors for 2025: James Meffen and Philip Ziter as Vice Chairs, Thanh Le as Secretary, and Jesse Boone as Treasurer. With their wealth of expertise and leadership, they will guide and support the AmCham Vietnam team and our dedicated Committee leaders. Together, we look forward to a year filled with impactful achievements and meaningful progress for AmCham and its vibrant community of members.

On behalf of Board of Governors and the Team of AmCham Vietnam, my heartfelt best wishes to all of you for the year!

Dam Thi Hoang Lan (Dr.)

Chair, AmCham Vietnam 2025

Update from the Executive Director

The newly appointed AmCham Vietnam Board of Governors came together for an engaging afternoon of brainstorming during our annual offsite strategy session on January 11 (on a Saturday, nonetheless!). Expertly facilitated by Van Ly, Partner at Raise Partners, the session fostered productive collaboration and insightful discussions, and I am looking forward to implementing their creative ideas. Afterward, attendees were treated to a stunning sunset view at the evening reception held at the The Straits on the 28th floor of Sedona Suites—an ideal way to unwind after a focused afternoon of planning.

I would like to sincerely thank our dedicated business leaders on our Board, who generously devote their time and expertise to strengthening AmCham Vietnam's ability to serve our members. I am excited at our new initiatives for 2025, and I am confident that we will bring more value to our members.

Before we swing into the holiday season, I would like to invite you to attend an important session on Thursday, January 16, concerning manufacturers and greenhouse gasses. The government has new requirements, so I encourage you to attend so you can learn from legal, sustainability, and green finance professionals. They will focus on practical and actionable solutions for large emitters to meet compliance standards and unlock financing to support your strategies to reduce emissions.

Finally, I wish all of you prosperity, happiness, and success in the Year of the Snake!
