AmCham Vietnam Weekly Update -
48th Week of 2020 - November 29th, 2020
Executive Director Update
Colleagues, we hope you all enjoyed the Thanksgiving week.  We were delighted to see so many at our first “Giving Thanks” dinner, as well as at our Wednesday AmCham 101, Thanksgiving Golf Turkey Shoot, and the Da Nang Thanksgiving event!  We know many of you may have enjoyed “Black Friday” sales.  And others were busy this weekend participating in Techfest Vietnam 2020.  We hope you all will celebrate “Giving Tuesday” and give back to some our AmCham NGO members who have struggled to maintain their important activities in this challenging year.
Message from AmCham Vietnam - Da Nang Vice Chair Chris Vanloon

Greetings from Danang! It was a busy week for our Chapter. Firstly, special thanks for the visit from U.S. Consul General Ms. Marie C. Damour. We had a wonderful evening welcoming her and the next day joined with her to attend the 25th Anniversary of the bilateral relations between America and Vietnam hosted by the Da Nang Union of Friendship Organizations and Vietnam - America Friendship Association. It was an honor for AmCham Danang to attend such a historic celebration. Additionally, we held our first Thanksgiving Day Dinner at the Sheraton Grand Resort. The event was well-attended by members and soon-to- be members. Special thanks to both the Sheraton for such outstanding service and to Red Apron who sponsored deep discounts on the endless flow of wine we all enjoyed. It was truly a memorable event for everyone who joined, including all the children who had a great time! Looking forward to next year’s event!

AmCham’s inaugural “Giving Thanks” Dinner - a Celebration of Excellence in Community Impact! was successfully hosted on the evening of November 24, 2020 at the Reverie Saigon Hotel. The event was graced by the participation of distinguished Vietnamese and U.S. Government guests, our sponsors, and all our AmCham member companies who promote sustainability and give back to communities in Vietnam throughout the year!
