A Message From Our Office Manager

Dear Amaryllis Community:

Cindy asked me to share a few words while she enjoys a much deserved vacation with family.

Summer is a time that some families alter routines and go on vacations, road trips and have time away. And for some families, the routines change very little if at all. The on thing that remains is that we all must practice healthy self care.

When I ask people what they do for self care I often hear "sound bites" of what they just read or saw online instead of what they are really doing, in reality.

Parents and kids alike should have tools and tips that they use on a regular basis to help deescalate the day, and allow you a moment of time to renew, relax, and regroup.

I encourage us all to ensure we have time care for ourselves, love ourselves, love ourselves, and forgive ourselves. Meditating, walking, arts, music, deep breathing, are all things to help. We look forward to seeing you soon!

In gratitude,

Royal

If you think your child may have a sensory processing disorder, please ask your pediatrician to recommend your child to an occupational therapist for a sensory integration evaluation. Then find out if your child may benefit from sensory integration therapy. The sooner the better!
