We Got Spirit! Thanks to the runners, walkers, volunteers, sponsors, Bucky, Emcee Laura Lehni, and Ballard's Cheer Team and Pep Band for once again bringing the Beaver spirit! This was our best attended event yet, with 351 participants signed up.

Thanks to You! Funds from Running of the Beavers' registrations, team volunteer and sponsorship stipends, and direct donations, totaling $9,550, will be distributed to beneficiary programs!

More to Applaud at the Finish Line! We're also grateful for the support of the Athletic Booster Club (President Suzanne Dale Estey), Ready, Set ... Time Operations Manager Erick Vazquez, and Race Coordinator Jeff Orswell, and his team from Orswell Events.

Class Competition: The count is in and tabulated, and the Freshmen won by a Beaver tail at the finish line with three more participants than the Seniors!

Congrats, Class of 2028, you'll receive $500 in your ASB account for having the most Running of the Beavers race participants!

Race Refreshments: Participants and spectators enjoyed fresh fruit, granola bars and water from Grocery Outlet (Crown Hill-Ballard); coffee from Caffe Appassionato; chocolate milk and regular milk cartons from Smith Brothers Farms; tasty lefse treats (to make it a truly Ballard event) from Scandinavian Specialties; and delicious clam chowder from Duke's Seafood. Thanks to these area businesses for their racer fueling support!

Ballard Food Bank: Thanks to those who shared food donations and $750 in cash donations with our great community partner at Ballard Food Bank.
