School. Work. What does the future look like? When will we be able to visit with friends, play sports together, learn together, work together? How do we balance screen time with outdoor time, reading, playing, chores, alone time?

Parents are having to make work, education, childcare, safe recreation choices, yet are in somewhat of a holding pattern. Teachers are having to make major changes, or even to decide if they can be a teacher in these uncertain times. Every family brings its own unique circumstances to the decision making.

Our lives have been thrown a curve! This is a time for exploring all options. Resources exist. Go to the original source for accurate information. Explore, discuss and keep options open.

Just look at how our libraries have pivoted to offer support. Another group which is very available to help is the CDRC, Child Development Resource Center. Their specialists can help you find the best childcare program for your needs. Every educational organization including private, public and homeschooling resources offers information on their websites and welcomes your questions.

Loria's Flower Cookies

3 sticks unsalted butter
1 1/3 C organic sugar
2 t kosher salt
3 eggs
2 T vanilla
4 C flour
edible flowers

Mix butter, sugar & salt.
Add yolks one at a time.
Add vanilla.
Carefully add flour.
Place dough on parchment paper;cover with parchment paper and roll out.
Cut cookie shapes; remove excess dough.
Add flowers; cover with parchment paper; roll lightly.
Refrigerate 20 minutes; Bake at 360 10-15 minutes; Sprinkle with organic sugar.
