Meet Valerie Cullari
2019 Autism Ambassador of the Week 3
When Valerie Cullari was a child, like many little girls, she wanted to be a princess when she grew up. Although it may not be for the reasons you think. Sure, dressing in fancy, pretty clothes was part of it, but Cullari had a bigger reason.
The one child with which she’s most concerned about having a good time is her 3-year-old son Rocco, who was di agnosed with autism about a year ago, and who has been Cullari’s primary inspiration. Read Valerie's inspirational story>>
Autism-Friendly Events in the Community
Understandably, new environments can be incredibly challenging for individuals with autism spectrum disorder — even more so if the activities are unpredictable, the settings loud and crowded, or certain formalities are expected.
