Jacksonville is a Navy town. It's why the Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society is a recipient of the Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance's annual charity giving each June.
The Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society provides financial assistance and counseling, Quick Loan Assistance (QLA), visiting nurse programs, the Budget for Baby Program, education assistance and emergency travel funding to members of the United States Navy, the Marine Corps and their families.
"Please accept my sincere appreciation for your annual donation to NMCRS - Shipmates helping Shipmates.  This is the twelfth year of donating to NMCRS and with the $20,000 donation today it brings the total over 12 years to $123,500 donated to assist Sailors, Marines and their families," said Capt. Bill Kennedy NMCRS Director.
" Again, this year, The Amelia is the largest single contributor to the Mayport-based NMCRS . In my 15 years as director no other organization can match what Bill Warner and The Amelia have done for the Sailors, Marines and their families. We are truly grateful for The Amelia's unwavering commitment to our organization and the families that it represents."
