What to Expect During the 2024 Spectrum of Care Symposium
The Spectrum of Care (SOC) Symposium, sponsored by the Stanton Foundation, will occur at the AAVMC Annual Catalyze Conference in Washington, D.C., on Thursday, April 11, 2024. This year’s symposium is designed to support CVMs interested in implementing the SOC Education Model into their curricula.
Participation in the symposium is included as part of general registration for AAVMC’s annual conference and all attendees are welcome to attend. Symposium sessions will address the following topics:
1. 9:00-9:50 am: How Integrated Educational Approaches to Spectrum of Care Preparation Can Address the Societal Need for Spectrum of Care Practice
2. 10:00-10:30 am: Exploring Profession-wide Partnerships to Enhance Spectrum of Care Pedagogy: A Discussion Panel
3. 1:30-2:30 pm: SOCI Workshop: Making Curricular Changes to Enhance Spectrum of Care Pedagogy
4. 3:00-3:50 pm: Learning Experiences that Prepare Students for Spectrum of Care Practice: Part 1
5. 4:00-4:30 pm: Learning Experiences that Prepare Students for Spectrum of Care Practice: Part 2
