The creation of the Build America Bureau (the Bureau) is the result of a tremendous effort to remove barriers to transportation infrastructure financing and improve the customer experience for those seeking credit assistance. Please reach out to the Bureau to discuss project ideas and needs at any time - consultations are free.
The Build America Bureau was established within the U.S. Department of Transportation in 2016 to increase infrastructure investment and economic growth by actively engaging with state and local governments and private sector sponsors. By combining the Department of Transportation's financing programs into a single office, the Bureau is better able to serve this diverse industry through specialized staffing, streamlining of multi-agency approvals and the delivery of a wide array technical assistance services.
