"Hanging on a Thread" Now at the Kaneko

"Hanging on a Thread" by Penny S. Hanscom is on view now at the Kaneko Gallery through November 10. Penny is an alumni of ARC and her current exhibition is a retrospect sampling of works she has been creating for more than a decade. From landscapes, abstraction and portraiture all works featured in the show are made from fibers. There will be a closing reception on Thursday, November 10 at 3:00 pm. The artist will be present!

You're So Dramaaatic!

Join us at 7:30 pm, Tuesday, November 1, in the ARC Theatre for an evening of dramatic choral works and theatrical monologues. The program features fantastic pianist Carlos McMillan Fuentes, Fair Oaks Theatre Festival favorite Deane Calvin, and incredibly talented, hard-working ARC student singers and actors. You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll shout, you'll faint...wait, that's a bit dramaaatic. See? We can't help it!

Vocal Jazz Ensembles and Soloists

Come hear this year's award-winning Vocal Jazz Ensembles and Soloists directed by Dr. Art LaPierre on Wednesday, November 2, at 8:00 pm in the ARC Theatre. $15 general admission.

Count Basie, the Beatles, and More!

The ARC Instrumental Jazz Ensembles have two live performances coming up!

The ARC Jazz Ensemble will perform a "Tribute to Count Basie and the Beatles" on Thursday, October 27 at 7:30 pm ($10 general) in the ARC Theatre. Special guests include the Sacramento Youth Band's "Tower Bridge Trad" combo and the River City High School Jazz Band.

On Friday, November 4, the ARC Jazz Combos will perform jazz classics in Music Room 547 at 7:30 pm ($10 general). We hope to see you there!

Great Sacramento Student Orchestras Series

Join the ARC Orchestra in concert with the Folsom Middle School and Sutter Middle School Advanced Orchestras. Concerts will be Friday, October 28, 7:30 to 9:30 pm and Saturday, October 29, 7:30 to 9:30 pm. Get your tickets now!
