Young Professionals
are the future of economic development
SEDC’s Young Professionals bring passion and energy to everything they do to grow business and industry in their communities.

Tyler Chaffee, Marketing Specialist for the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA), is the chair of the dynamic group. “Most young professionals are willing and able to take on new responsibilities,” Tyler said. “They are looking for opportunities to take on larger roles within their organizations.” When it comes to business retention and expansion, these pros, often in their 20s, are eager to help find and retain new business for their regions. Young professionals are committed to all aspects of economic development.

The group met for a #YPCon at the 2023 SEDC Annual Conference to convene with site selectors, discuss economic development and career advancement, and strategize on how SEDC can best serve young professionals. The 2024 Young Professionals Conference will be in conjunction with the SEDC Annual Conference in Savannah, July 28-30. Register for the conference.
